Nayagarh,(Baghuabarta): Two weeks after Taliban occupying the Afghan capital, Kabul, the UN Security Council changed its tone. The United Nations Security Council, in its latest statement on the issue of Afghanistan, has removed the name of the Taliban from terrorist activities. A day after the capture of Kabul, on August 16, UN statement issued on Afghanistan. It said the Taliban should not support terrorism in their area. But in the latest comments, the UNSC has removed the name of the Taliban. Most importantly, India is chairing this month’s UNSC. For the first time, the country is chairing the world’s most powerful organization. Surprisingly, the statement also includes India’s signature. In a recent statement issued by the UNSC, India condemned the August 26 terrorist attack at Kabul airport. More than 170 people were killed in the attack. It also includes 13 young American security personnels. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Khurasan (ISIS-K) has blamed itself for the attack. A day after the Kabul attack, the permanent representative of India, TS Tirumurthy, issued a statement on August 27 on behalf of the UNSC Presidential Council. The statement included the full statement of August 16. However, not a single word of the Taliban was mentioned. According to the latest UNSC statement, no Afghan group or individual should support terrorism in other countries.
