Nayagarh,(Baghuabarta): The Indian men’s hockey team secured a place in the Olympic quarterfinals. In their fourth match, the team beats Argentina, who won the gold in 2016. This is India’s third win in four matches. The team had already defeated New Zealand and Spain. India lost to Australia only. The team will play its final Group A match on July 30 against Japan. Both teams had a good start in the match against Argentina. There were no goals in the first quarter. Both teams failed to score in the second quarter either. The score was 0-0 until half-time. However, Varun Kumar scored in the 43rd minute to give India a 1-0 lead. Argentina returned in the fourth quarter. In the 8th minute, Mako Scoot scored to make it 1-1. Similarly, in the 58th minute, India’s Vivek Kumar scored another goal to take a 2-1 lead. Similarly, in the 59th minute, Harmanpreet Singh scored a corner to give the team a 3-1 lead. India got four corners while the team scored two goals.
