Nayagarh,(Baghuabarta): The second T20 match between India and Sri Lanka will be played on Wednesday. The match was originally scheduled to be played on Tuesday, July 27, but the match was adjourned after Krunal Pandya’s Covid report came out positive. The second T20 match will now be played on Wednesday and the third on Thursday. However, nine Indian players will not play in the match. According to Insider Sports, Prithvi Shaw, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Ishan Kishan, opener Devdatta Padikkal and Krishnappa Gautam will not play against Sri Lanka. All of them are said to have been close to Krunal. However, the good news is that the first Covid report of all nine of Krunal’s close associates has been negative. Players from both teams will reportedly be retested on Wednesday. Some cricketers are in complete isolation and they will not be able to play the remaining two matches of the series. The Sri Lankan Cricket Board is monitoring the situation. According to the Sri Lankan Health Protocol, Krunal will not be able to return home with the rest of the Indian team on July 30. After completing the mandatory isolation period, you have to wait for the negative RT PCR. Notably, led by Shikhar Dhawan, India won the first match by 38 runs. Now the team is looking to capture the series after the match.
