Nayagarh,(Baghuabarta): The Delta variant of the coronavirus has so far spread to 124 countries around the world. The World Health Organization (WHO) made the announcement on Wednesday. “These two new variants of SARS-Cov-2 are expected to be around the world for a few more months now,” WHO said. This will spread the virus to other parts of the world. The first case of this fast-growing variant was identified from India. The reason for the spread of the virus is said to be the unequal distribution of vaccines and breaking of social distance laws. “This new variant of the virus may overtake the other variants and become the most widespread variant,” WHO said. The Delta variant of the coronavirus has played havoc around the world. According to a report, more than 75 percent of cases of the coronavirus in many countries, including India, Bangladesh, Australia, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Indonesia, Russia and China, are related to the Delta variant. Indonesia has the highest number of cases of COVID-19 in the world, followed by the United Kingdom, Brazil, India and the United States. On the other hand, despite the increase in infections, almost all restrictions have been lifted in the UK. The cause of the second wave of COVID-19 in India was the Delta variant of the coronavirus. More than 80 percent of cases were identified in this variant.
