Nayagarh,(Baghuabarta): Amid the escalating violence in Afghanistan, India has accused Pakistan of being a haven for terrorists at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), not to mention Pakistan. “As a neighbor of Afghanistan, the current situation here is a matter of concern for us,” said TS Trimurti, India’s ambassador to the United Nations. There is no indication that the violence has stopped. The UN report makes it clear that civilian deaths and targets have reached record levels. “Religious and Scheduled Castes, women students, Afghan security forces, Ulema, women in charge, journalists, human rights activists and young people are being targeted,” he said. Trimurthy even said that the UN compound had not been released. The residence of the Afghan defense minister was attacked, and an Indian journalist was killed while reporting in Helmand and Herat. More than 100 innocent civilians were brutally killed. He said the situation in Afghanistan posed a serious threat to regional peace and stability. “India will always help Afghanistan to establish a legitimate and transparent democracy,” he said.
