Nayagarh,(Baghuabarta): The Taliban have banned the anchoring of female journalists since the occupation of Afghanistan. A female news anchor on a government news channel has been fired by the Taliban. Now the Taliban anchor will read the news on TV. Khadija Amina, a female anchor on the state news channel, has also been removed. A day earlier, the Taliban had said it would protect the interests of women. Now the Taliban say women are only allowed to work under Sariya law. “What will I do, there will be no work for the next generation,” said Khadija Amina, an Afghan news anchor after she was expelled. What has been achieved in 20 years will be gone. The Taliban are the Taliban, who will never change. Earlier in the day, Taliban spokesman Jabihullah Mujahideen told a news conference that Afghanistan was now free. The previous government imposed a number of strict restrictions on women. In addition, there will be no discrimination against women during her rule. According to the Mujahideen, women will be given rights under Islamic law. Women will have the freedom to work in the health and other sectors. Twenty years ago, during the Taliban regime, Afghan women were confined to four walls of their homes. Even then, women’s lives and rights were severely restricted. Now the Taliban has come to power once again. Under such circumstances, the protection and rights of Afghan women remain the biggest problem.
