Taliban terror continues in Afghanistan. Meanwhile, the administration of US President Joe Biden sent 3,000 troops to Afghanistan on Friday. The U.S. has arrived in Kabul. U.S. confidence in the Afghan government’s ability to curb the Taliban’s dominance is declining. Biden on Thursday morning ordered a halt to U.S. operations in Afghanistan by the end of this month. He had previously consulted with national security officials. State Secretary Tony Blinken and Defense Minister Laud Austin spoke on the phone Thursday with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani to coordinate the plan. The U.S. has also warned Taliban officials that retaliation will be carried out if it attacks the United States during its military deployment. In addition, the British Ministry of Defense will send about 600 additional troops to Afghanistan for the safe return of the remaining troops. According to reports, Canadian special forces will also be deployed to safely relocate Canadian personnel from Kabul. “The Pentagon will send 3,500 to 4,000 troops to Kuwait,” said John Kirby, the Pentagon’s chief spokesman.
