Nayagarh,(Baghuabarta): India on Thursday lashed out at Pakistan at the UN Security Council over terrorism. India has said that terrorist organizations such as Lashkar-e-Toiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad are fearlessly expanding their activities with the help of Pakistan. It has the full support of Pakistan. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar also recalled the 2008 Mumbai attacks on Pakistan-owned terrorists, the air base in Pathankot and the Pulwama attack, saying the international community should not take refuge. “We need to talk about this”. Addressing a high-level meeting on ‘International Peace and Security Threats Due to Terrorist Activities’ while chairing the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), Jaishankar said the increase in the activities of the banned Haqqani Network was a growing concern. “ISIL-Khorasan (ISIL-K) has become more powerful in our neighborhood and is trying to expand its footprint,” Jaishankar said. The development of Afghanistan has naturally raised global concerns about regional and international security. “Whether in Afghanistan or against India, groups like Lashkar-e-Toiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad have taken refuge,” he said. They are acting fearlessly. “So the security council is important,” he said. Don’t take a selective, strategic or satisfactory approach to the problems we face. “We must never provide a safe haven for terrorists or ignore their increase in resources,” he said.
