Nayagarh,(Baghuabarta): The Indian men’s hockey team has started a tremendous journey at the Olympics. The team defeated New Zealand in 3-2. Harmanpreet is the hero of India’s victory. He scored two goals. The great victory has achieved by Indian hockey team at the World Olympics. The Indian hockey team started the winning journey by defeating New Zealand with the brilliant goals of vice-captains Harmanpreet Singh and Rupinder Pal Singh and the stellar performance of goalkeeper PR Sreejesh. India beats New Zealand in 3-2 to win the first match. Harmanpreet Singh scored two goals while Rupinder Singh scored one. Rupinderpal Singh scored the first goal for India in the 10th minute. Harmanpreet Singh then scored two goals in the 26th and 33rd minutes. For New Zealand, Ken Russell scored two goals in the 4th minute and Stephen Janes in the 43rd minute. New Zealand took a 1-0 lead with the first goal from the start of the game. Rupinder scored on a penalty track to make it 1-1.
