Nayagarh,(Baghuabarta): Pegasus Spyware’s phone tapping case has sparked controversy in many countries. The software is made by the NSO Group of Israel. Israel has set up a task force to investigate the allegations. According to a Reuters report, Israel has formed a team of senior ministers. The team will monitor the entire dispute. The team will investigate allegations against the NSO company. It will also review the country’s cyber experts policy. The team includes members of the Israeli Defense Ministry, the Law Department, the Foreign Office and the people of Mosul. Notably, some media reports on Sunday said that more than 300 Indian phone numbers had been hacked using the Pegasus software developed by the Israeli company NSO. Among them are the number of businessmen in the country, including the current Union Minister, three opposition leaders, more than 40 journalists, a judge and a former and current head of the Security Agency. The issue was also raised in parliament. In response, the IT minister said that there had been similar demands in the past for the use of Pegasus. Those reports did not contain any information. Therefore, all parties, including the Supreme Court, vehemently denied the report. The IT minister said the report, which was released on July 18, 2021, was a conspiracy to discredit Indian democracy.
